Care & Cleaning

The Classic Plus is suitable for sterilizing by means of a steam sterilizer or boiling in water for at least 5 minutes. After sterilization please allow the pacifier to cool for at least 5 minutes and remove any trapped water before use. Check that the pacifier is cool before giving to your child.

IMPORTANT: The Classic Plus pacifier is a multi age design from 0-36 months so there is no age confusion with multiple Classic Plus pacifiers.

For your child’s safety: WARNING! DO NOT TIE PACIFIER AROUND CHILD’S NECK AS IT PRESENTS A STRANGULATION DANGER. In the event the pacifier becomes lodged in the mouth, remove from the mouth with care and as gently as possible. DO NOT PANIC.

ALWAYS USE THIS PRODUCT UNDER ADULT SUPERVISION. Inspect carefully before each use and especially when the child has teeth. Pull the pacifier in all directions. Push on the Finger Safety Disc, in the handle and shield, to ensure that it is securely in place before each use. Do not use excessive force so as to weaken the Finger Safety Disc bond. Throw away at the first signs of damage, cracks, or any weakness. We recommend replacing the pacifier after 2 weeks for safety and hygiene reasons. Do not leave a pacifier in direct sunlight or near a source of heat, or leave in disinfectant (sterilizing solution) for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the nipple, shield, handle and safety disc. Never dip nipple in sweet substances or medication, as this may promote tooth decay.

Before first use, place in boiling water for 5 minutes (may cause slight color change), allow to cool and squeeze out any trapped water from the pacifier to ensure hygiene. Clean before each use. DO NOT use abrasive cleaning agents or antibacterial cleaners on the pacifiers. Excessive combinations of detergents may eventually cause components to crack. Should this occur, replace your pacifier immediately. Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly and ensure surfaces are clean before contact with sterilized components. We also suggest to introduce white vinegar into the inside of the nipple through the opening before boiling and rinsing out with water by squeezing the stem/bulb until water is no longer visible inside of the stem/bulb.

Please check the nipple before each time of use by pulling in all directions. Check for cracks and or tears. Throw away at the first sign(s) of damage or weakness. Push on the Finger Safety Disc to ensure that it is securely in place before each time of use. Do not use excessive force so as to weaken the Finger Safety Disc bond. For safety and hygiene replace the pacifier after 2 to 4 weeks of use. A University of Oklahoma study states that all types and makes of pacifiers should be replaced every two weeks due to bacterial biolfilm formation. Do Not Tie The Pacifier Around Child’s Neck! It Presents A Choking Hazard!
